St Mary’s Stainforth Coffee Morning 2nd Feb 2016

“we used to have adult education classes but they stopped and have become expensive” Ernesto Robertson

Janet and Chris had arranged a coffee morning to continue the process of collecting information from local residents about what activities they would like to see start up in their community. Those who turned out were very welcoming and completed the feedback sheets we had designed. Some of the suggestions included vintage tea party, beer and pie night, adult education classes, computer course, crafts and flower arranging, gardening, language classes, groups for those with long term illnesses, cookery classes, bereavement sessions, cream and tea together, well-being groups and children’s groups. Pat who attended the coffee morning was keen to help out and if we got more feedback forms to her she would ask people at church and friends she knew. I also got asked about the Door 2 Door service in Stainforth by a couple who had stopped driving. I offered to get hold of some registration forms and timetables for them. Sharon
